This exclusive club is operating in Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, the Baltics, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.
The Club is the first and only of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe and is focusing on the issues and challenges facing ambitious managers interested in acquiring a business through a Management-Buy-In (MBI) or Buy-Out (MBO) and accessing the necessary capital. The Club is an informal network of a select group of successful directors and managers.
Enterprise Investors
Enterprise Investors (EI), which is one of the largest private equity and venture capital investors in Central and Eastern Europe, has been co-managing the MBI & MBO Club since 2004. The firm has raised seven investment funds totalling €1.7 billion. To date, these funds have invested €1.2 billion in more than 100 companies across a range of sectors and have exited more than 90 investments at money multiple averages of almost 3 times.
Sister Clubs
The synergies are maximized between the clubs in Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Bulgaria, the Baltics, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia. Members in one country have the right to participate in Club meetings in the other countries. The Club provides a readily accessible regional network of high profile managers. Members have the opportunity to use this network when working on regional deals.
Club Activities
The Club meetings are scheduled well in advance. Regardless of whether a member completes a deal or not, Club membership ensures that the members are part of an exclusive network of high profile, influential managers. The Club meetings are a mixture of informal networking and structured presentations that can help members succeed with their MBI or MBO plans. The "MBI & MBO Club" does also give the member access to an extensive network of useful contacts and advisors.
Costs
The Club has no membership fee. Management of the Club is fully sponsored by Enterprise Investors and Pedersen & Partners. In limited cases where an event may require an advance payment, members are informed and can chose whether to participate or not.
Termination of Membership of Club
Members may terminate membership at any time and, Enterprise Investors and Pedersen & Partners may also terminate a membership. Termination of memberships happens from time to time to ensure that the Club consists of members who are actively pursuing plans to complete an MBI or MBO.

To apply for membership to Enterprise Investors and Pedersen & Partners "MBI & MBO Club", please send your credentials and the information about the companies/sectors/deal size you are targeting to MBI_MBO_Club@pedersenandpartners.com.
Membership is limited to a select group of outstanding directors and managers with the capability of becoming owners through an MBI or MBO. Even if you are an outstanding manager with the capability and skills to execute an MBI or MBO, we are looking for an elite group of potential entrepreneurs and, due to limited capacity, cannot accept all applications. Professionals not accepted for immediate membership are encouraged to keep in contact with us regarding their professional endeavors and possible membership in the future.
All the information you provide to us will be handled confidentially and will not be disclosed or forwarded to any third party without your prior approval. If you become a member of the "MBI & MBO Club", your name, current employer and contact data will be circulated to other Club members. Subject to your approval, certain data might also be provided to investment bankers and others, who can assist you with your MBI or MBO.
