Milan Matis

Milan Matis is a Principal at Pedersen & Partners with particular focus on the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare & Biotech sectors throughout Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Before joining Pedersen & Partners, Mr. Matis worked for Czech Industrial Health Insurance Fund where he participated in the development of the managed healthcare programs, preparation and implementation of the organizational changes and new business strategy. As a member of the Medical Advisory Committee for the Association of Health Insurance Funds, Mr. Matis represented and advised payers on drug reimbursement, regulatory, and legislative issues. Mr. Matis also spent five years with Genzyme as the Area Director for both the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Mr. Matis obtained an M.D. from the Charles University, 1st School of Medicine in Prague, Czech Republic. Additionally, he participated in trainings with Kaiser Permanente in California and in Old Mutual Healthcare in South Africa. He speaks native Slovak, and fluent Czech and English.
