Colombia has great leadership talent
Alberto Bocchieri, Partner, Co-Head of Iberia & Latin America and Head of the Board Services Practice at Pedersen & Partners, gave an interview to Portafolio in Colombia about talents, recruiting, Executive Search and business structure in LATAM region.
While research periodically indicates that there is a shortage of senior managerial talent in the world, Alberto Bocchieri, Head of the Global Board Services Practice of the international executive search firm Pedersen & Partners, praises the Colombian professionals.
According to Bocchieri, who has carried out searches in practically all geographies for multinational, public and private companies, family businesses and venture capital funds, human capital in Colombia is a strong asset.
His belief is based on his experience as a professional recruiter through which he met many Colombian managers and has always been impressed with their level of education and their managerial talent.
Alberto also stated that talent is global and moves from one country to another, therefore an integrated international executive search firm like Pedersen & Partners, expert in emerging markets, is able to provide solutions to the shortage of managerial talent in emerging economies and match growing demand for top people. Talent is scarce and the best people are always the most sought after, in Colombia, and everywhere.

Mr. Bocchieri joined Pedersen & Partners in 2011, simultaneously with the opening of the firm’s Madrid office. Prior to this, he has served as a Partner for Spain and Italy for a leading international Executive Search firm. Mr. Bocchieri has a wide experience of more than a decade in search focusing on Board level and C-suite positions both in developed and emerging markets.
