Key Takeaways from the Industrial Leadership roundtable discussion in Mumbai
February 2026
Pedersen & Partners was pleased to host an Industrial Leadership roundtable discussion in Mumbai, chaired by our Global Head of Industrial Practice, Sune Christiansen. Our Founder and Executive Chairman Poul Pedersen, also attended the discussion.
The Mumbai Industrial Leadership Roundtable focused on key relevant topics, including:
- India as the Global Industrial Engine: Leadership, Scale, and Talent for the Next Decade.
- The evolving role of HR in enabling skills development, change management, and workforce transformation in the factory of the future.
- Leadership challenges in developing workforce capabilities - transitioning from a traditional “hard labor” model to managing human–machine automated interface solutions.
- The use of AI, IoT, and digital twins to enable real-time, data-driven decision-making in operational factories.
The discussions were deeply engaging - ideas flowed freely as industry leaders shared what had worked for them, and how we could all do things better.
The attendees included Raja Mukherjee, Panasonic; Pankaj Gupta, Provenance Land; Vivek Bhide, John Cockerill; Shailendra Shukla, Eaton; Nasser Arivoli, Corob; Vishal Sharma, Godrej (Chemicals); Bala Aiyaswamy, PI Industries and Tejinder Hara, Trafigura. Joining Sune and Poul from Pedersen & Partners were Gaurav Seth, Biprashish Roy and Sanjay Ghosh.
We would like to thank everyone in attendance for their contributions and insights during the roundtable discussion.
